Back in 2019, a survey was conducted on several high ranking STEM industries focusing on incoming new hires, interns, and apprenticeships. It was interesting to learn that new hires and interns felt cheated by their educational institutions because many STEM industries were already working with emerging technologies, and new hires felt frustrated because they hadn't been introduced must less trained for this. In fact, the one big recommendation made by new hires was that emerging technologies should be introduced as early as high school.
This is why we work with CTE instructors. Why? Because your programs are project-based, skill driven, and hands-on delivering both knowledge and encouragement that move students into the workforce.
Leonardo Apprentice is a 501(3)c nonprofit dedicated to providing you, the teacher or instructor, with current science and emerging technology from key sources like MIT, JPL/NASA, any several others. We not only provide free resources and lessons but TPD. However, unlike most TPDs we follow up, we support, mentor, and provide the resources that will, in turn, help your students to move forward like Lisa Ing. Leonardo da Vinci wrote, "Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication," and that's the way we play it.

Back in 1993, AOL was my online service. I had an idea for a project and wrote a fictitious story about a space station that was orbiting the earth. I then challenged two schools to join me to do a project in our zero gravity environment. By 1996, the Space Island program was documented to have reached 2.3 million students and teachers in 40 nations. From middle school to university students took virtual labs onboard conducted science and engineering projects. A side benefit from this project was being recognized by the U.S. Congress who placed Space Island into the Library of Congress as a historical event. It was the first long-distant educational program ever done in history. The key element of this story was it had no ending, only a what-if question. Curiosity took over from there. A curious student is a motivated and engaged student. We'll show you ways on how to create curiosity for your programs and lessons.
